Brooklyn's L&B Spumoni Gardens & Pizzeria had actually built a successful family business, however when the household's secret recipe is stolen, the mafia provides some old fashion justice.

The Mob Run Pizzerias of NYC | Devoured
Flashback to the better days when the pizza show went to L&B :/
Pizzeria: “I’m in the food business. Everybody immediately assumes you’re mobbed up. It’s a stereotype. And it’s offensive… There is no Mafia”.
“My pizza never hurt nobody”
“Come again sir?” ” You don’t finda no bacteria in here”
@Leyah Lots of Puertorican flags in NYC, how many of these People speak Spanish? If you don’t speak Spanish your not a Rican, if you don’t speak Italian, YOU are not Italian..
@Don Antonio yep, same thing with the proud “irish” ppl as well, they are all very common here in Philly too. it’s a shame that they wouldn’t bother to actually learn the language or about the country at all, is just stupid to wave a flag when you’re so far removed and wouldn’t ever even think about going back . like nobody here who is culturally American and raised here goes around saying “im british” lol, it’s the same thing
Mah pizza neva hurt nobuddy
“That pizza looks so damn good, but it is too expensive”
pizza seller: “I’ll offer you a deal you can’t refuse”
gtfo tony soprano lmfao
@Joe Cool lame
There was a pizzeria i used to eat at that was stealing L&B’s style. From the sauce to the texture of the slices. Word got around and within 6 months of grand opening this successful business closed down due to unknown reasons and when it opened again it changed its name completely. Never had that same slice again.
Cap
Which pizzeria was that? I’ve heard stories of similar happenings.
@R C it was called “sharkeys square”
@5tay Tuned Huh thats funny, I think ive heard of that place before……
@5tay Tuned did it change to something like sharkys? There was a similar place by me, same stort
I went into a Italian restaurant in Maspeth and there was a grandmother who didn’t seem to speak English and a man just sitting at one of the tables. They looked really surprised I walked in but they got up and served me a really amazing plate of pasta. Forgot what I ordered but it was shockingly good. Looking back I realized it was probably a mob business.
@Brandon Vita because they were surprised of a customer
Glad you made out alive after the meal. Lol.
I once went to a Mexican food restaurant and there was an abuelita that only spoke Spanish and a guy with a mustache by himself at a table. They were surprised to see me walk in but they got up and served me some tequila. I don’t remember what kind of tacos I ordered but they were delicious. Looking back I realized it was probably a cartel business…
Talk about stereotypes.. sheesh
@rub that’s what they want you think they’re 100% out there
I guess Brooklyn 99 is more reality based than I might have initially thought
At least Scott Weiner isn’t asking for a “well done” pizza this time around
He would have got capped
LMFAO
This video could have been 10 minutes long and nothing would be lost.
@Mr Bojangles that’s freaking literally what the guy you replied to said, talk about repetitive
Yeah, the editing of this whole video made me angry.
@super burk hmmm you think?
@super burk that’s the joke buddy 😅✈️
@super burk I know right? He said the exact same thing, repetitive much?
This is absolutely entertaining for start to finish good job!!! Can’t wait to see more episodes!! 10/10 🌟
I’m in Los Angeles, no mob at Little Cesar’s and Pizza Hut lol.
NYC pizza is incredible
“Look at all the blood on the floor!!!”
“Oh, it’s pizza sauce”
Just gotta say, whenever NYC pizza is involved, you know you’re going to see a clip of Scott Wiener eating a slice.
I must say some parts of the video was unnecessarily repetitive (probably due to “commercial breaks”)
Still an 8/10 though 👌🏽
Recipe gets stolen
Pizzeria owner: “Its time to have a meeting with the 5 families”
“You’re either the son of a cop or firefighter or the son of a mobster” …..I grew up in Staten Island…100% Sicilian.. my dad did computer repair.
That’s what you think…
He repaired computers for the mafia!
The last person in the world that I would think would evoke such deep thought on my part would be from a guy who makes pizza. John Arena… very well stated sir
I’m not gonna lie, I live in Brooklyn and I go to L&B semi-regularly (maybe a couple times a month). I love their pizza and pasta dishes, but I’ll be definitely giving the side eye 😒 the next time I order a slice 🍕
Your name is public Kris… careful
The comments from John Arena throughout were absolutely fantastic. Really strong and interesting sentiments, a wise man.
just the whole CONCEPT of this series is INCREDIBLE!! Can’t wait for more 🙂
