Normally, the chicken is roasted with its own fat and juices. is a dish that appears in a wide variety of cuisines worldwide. But today we have here, Roast Chicken that is prepared in a pressure cooker with steam, calling it the Chicken Steam Roast. It is a one-pot whole Chicken meal, that is juicy and tasty. Make this over the weekend and enjoy it.

Ingredients –

0:47 For Brining The Chicken –
1 litre Water
Salt (as needed).
2 tbsp Vinegar.
1 entire Chicken.

2:13 For the Green Spice mix -.
2-inches Ginger (peeled and chopped).
1/4 cup Garlic Cloves (peeled).
2 tablespoon Coriander Leaves.
4-5 Green Chillies.

2:43 For The Marinade -.
Prepared Spice-mix.
2 tablespoon Curd (whisk).
1 tsp Garam masala Powder.
1 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder.
1/2 tsp Chaat Masala.
1 tsp Roasted Coriander Powder.
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder.
1/2 Turmeric Powder.
Juice of 1 Lemon.
Salt (as required).
2 tbsp Oil.
Coriander Leaves (for garnish).

    Though I gave it a little personal touch. I gave it the ‘dum’ (after cooking) with burning coal & Desi Ghee (clarified butter).

    The one you show seems to be oven roasted on top.It looks a bit dry and brown on top.
    The chicken I steam roasted, had a wet look, and also the steam that had collected under the saucepan lid had ‘dripped’ in to the chicken;
    So I had a tasty recipe of the Marinade, (melted) Chicken oil (from fat of Chicken) and the ‘distilled’ water.
    That was a bonus sauce!!
