The Brooklyn Curry Project started in 2021 with a basic idea: bring a taste of Bangalore to Brooklyn.
When Swetha and her partner Venkat moved from Bangalore to NYC in 2016, they went to every restaurant that sold dosas, but absolutely nothing seemed like home. With Brooklyn Curry Task, they chose to create that sensation themselves.

I am from Delhi but i too would agree on this. Most of the North Indians in the US try to blend in while forgetting their roots. Its mostly the south Indians who are are majorily working in high paying jobs (compared to North India) while preserving their culture at the same time. Its mostly them who are proud of their roots. You will never see a North Indian wearing a saree like this for an interview.
I remember watching a video about their stand a few years back! Love to see how well they’ve grown.

Wow. I visited them 2 years back, they have come a long way. Being a Kannadiga, I was missing Bangalore food. Their food reminded me of what I get back home
Whatever it takes for that young lady to be happy and successful in life I hope her entire family gets to enjoy it with her. She’s magical. Such a beautiful family. They deserve a brick and mortar!! And I have no doubt that we’ll all see it soon.
Despite all the hate people give Indians. They have the best families. Seeing the way the kids can bounce off their parents was awesome to see.
