He’s up all night all night all night

    1. And there isn’t any unnecessary cuts for ad breaks. You gotta love and appreciate the raw unfiltered feel

  1. That’s awesome how cool is that having Matthew Mccougney cooking with Gordon Ramsay

    1. It’s literally in the title and you still managed to spell it wrong. McConaughey

  2. Matthews smile when Gordon put that egg on the steak .. priceless- pure joy !

  3. I wasn’t expecting this, but these two just hit it off and you could see Gordon getting more and more comfortable. Love it

  4. One of the best things I’ve seen in a while. Two successful dudes talking about how to make it all work with their fams. We need more of this.

    1. Right? I know this sounds like a simplified version , I could expound but I’ll save you, but definitely “we need more of this”

    2. @@kr0naa I don’t know, the part where more people have gone to earn Michelin Stars from Marco Pierre White compared to Gordon Ramsay, including Gordon Ramsay himself. Also Marco Pierre White never had any of his Michelin Stars stripped from him but Gordon has, that alone is all I need to demolish any kind of claim that GR is better than MPW

    3. @@earthtoimaniIf I may chime in. What you say is true but MPW continues to talk about them MS while having given it back in 1999 thus now becoming highly philosophical and therefore all bark no bite while Gordon and his team have managed to keep his flagship at 3 Michelin Stars for 23 years straight. Not to mention those he mentored getting MS themselves, Angela Hartnett, Mark Sargeant, Marcus Wareing, Claire Smyth, Paul Ainsworth among others. Marco may not have had his stars reduces but now he has no stars compared to Gordon’s 8 Stars across his fine dining places. Essentially, Marcos been out of the Michelin Star game for 25 years and is relegated to home cooking and giving lectures at various colleges which doesn’t impress me. I can respect his talent and accomplishments but he’s more on the backburner now and would have never been able to lean into social media and television and the likes as Gordon has imo.

  5. This is by far Gordon’s best interview. So real and humble. 2 dad’s cooking some steaks talking about being dads

    1. Look at his National Geographic series on cable. Cool seeing him in different environments finding various foods and creating a meal.

    2. so much real that at 8:49 you can see the notes on the table for the interview

    3. when has Gordon EVER been humble……. it’s an edited You-Tube video

  6. This is the most relaxed I’ve ever seen Gordon while cooking. Kudos Matt for bringing him down to Earth!

    1. That’s because his angry American persona is an act, because angry is his “brand”

    2. @@MrKODonnell23no it’s because he is a Glasgow rangers fan.. notice Matthew refers to Church and faith Vs s pillars in his life.. big bulldog completely.. side step shuffles
      One of Scotland’s poorer exports

  7. I love everything about this. Honest conversation. No bs. Just regular conversation which , I feel no one does anymore. This is really great

    1. You could literally find hundreds of videos of people having real conversations. Just gotta broaden your horizons.

    2. This was kind of awkward conversation. I thought they would kiss each other 😂

    3. Real conversation, as per Gordon’s structured notes with talking points (you can see them on the counter). Make sure the tequila and the book get plugged….

    4. Lol that was the most pretentious Texan talking about marketing lmao

  8. “Because im a better father and husband if im feeling better too”, very wise advice from Matthew

    1. Never a truer word said. A fathers kin are leveled by their fathers temperament, and is a defining reflection on their upbringing. This goes hand in hand with the relationship between the mother and father. Parenting done well is a complex dynamic that doesn’t come easy to many.

    2. @@Neur0nauTand it boggles my mind how many people just decided to have kids just because of societal pressures

  9. I’m always so impressed with how Gordon moves through the kitchen. Around 4:20 he goes to wash his hands, notices Matthew coming, leaves the sink on, finds two towels, puts one right in front of him on the counter, then right back to the pans. Sometimes takes me a minute to decide which vegetable to cut next xD

    1. it’s just situational awareness. if you’ve served tables or have done anything hospitality related you’d have the same ability.

    2. yeah you learn that in the restaurant biz…. no wasted movements, no wasted time, always thinking ahead, always multi-tasking

  10. This was very refreshing. I’m a new dad with a two year old and I can’t help but feel inadequate at the worst times. It’s nice seeing men with experiences above and beyond the normal 9-to-5er talk about every parents struggles.

    1. You’re finding your feet just as much as your kid is, i’ve been where you are all you have to do is show up every day and do your best, ive got 4 now and its hard but worth it, you’ve got this brother 🫡

    2. Father of 2 here (4yo & 2 yo), with my eldest been autistic. You already have half the battle won with self-awareness. Teamwork goes a long way with the missus. The nights may feel long, but the years feel short. Stay strong!

    3. Hey same here man, my sons two and I’m learning on the go lol. It’s a blast though

  11. What I’ve always liked about McConaughey, and this is a nuanced observation- is whenever someone is speaking to him, he genuinely is invested in what that person is saying. You can see how intently he looks at Gordan whenever Gordan is talking and is acutually listening to what is being said. You will be surprised, even in our own lives, how many people have horrible, even disrespectful, listening skills.

    1. He’s well grounded, never let fame come between him and his family or his own human potential. A genuinely good man

    2. I love McConaughey and almost everything he does. But come on “plugging his alcohol brand and the type of alcohol “tequila” as the one alcohol that isn’t a depressant? I like him almost enough to believe that….but selling it as a truth is contrary to all he usually stands for. And one too many shots…or one more dollar to the account. Not a “green light”.

  12. ”Pantalones, try to keep ’em on, but if you don’t it’s alright.” LOL!! Love that!

  13. Gordon NEEDS to make this a series. This is like Hot Ones except it’s two guys cooking and chatting. What’s better than podcast? two guys cooking while doing a podcast! this is amazing!!!

    1. Not wrong I have a feeling it be way better than hot ones not saying hot ones is good but it’s not really that interesting lol plus they waste the wings most of the time

    2. Something’s burning is pretty good but bert is annoying sometimes

  14. I love how down to earth the conversation is between you and Matthew. Personal reflections and familiar values resonates immensely.

  15. You can see how much respect these legends have to each other and the conversation is just natural. Just by listening to them talk you definitely can learn something very important in life.

    1. gordon was saying buzz words like wow and amazing at the wrong point in sentences… i dont think he was listening.

  16. Gordon is pretty chill when no one is depriving him of lamb sauce or fucking up the scallops

  17. Absolutely superb. What a gracious, refreshing YouTube video. Both Gordon and Matthew being themselves, enjoying the moment and sharing it. Thanks guys, keep. It up! We all need down to earth positivity and charm like this at the moment! 👍

  18. From the beginning to the end uncut unedited, just raw manly vibes. One of the best videos of YouTube, like ever
