Find out how to prepare steak perfectly each and every single time with this easy to follow dish where steak is scorched in a frying pan on the range and ended up in the oven.
INGREDIENTS
2 beef steaks, at least 1-inch thick
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
2 tablespoons softened butter
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove steaks from fridge and any packaging and let sit at room temperature for a minimum of 30 minutes.
2. Rub each side with the olive oil to coat. Integrate the salt, pepper, and onion powder in a small bowl. Rub both sides of each steak with the rub mixture.
3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Preheat a heavy, oven-safe skillet over high heat up until it is smoking hot. Sear steaks in the hot pan for 2-3 minutes per side. If the steak has a side of fat, turn the steak onto its side and render the fat by searing it for 2-3 minutes as well.
4. Slide the skillet with the seared steaks in it into the oven to finish cooking. Get rid of the steaks from the oven 5 degrees prior to the preferred level of doneness is accomplished, or 130 degrees F for medium unusual.
5. While the steaks are cooking, utilize a fork to combine the butter with garlic in a little bowl.
6. When the steaks are gotten rid of from the grill, instantly top with 1 tablespoon of the butter mix and enable the steaks to rest 10 minutes prior to cutting into them. The temperature level of the steak will continue to rise as it rests by about 5 degrees.

Thanks, I cooked steak for my first time ever and used this method. I followed the steps and it seemed like the process was quicker than expected. After I finished I cut the steak for my first bite and saw some clear “jelly” looking stuff where I cut and I got paranoid it wasn’t fully cooked, so I threw it back on the stove top for another 5 minutes and it was more well done afterward (which I like). Come to find out what I saw and thought was uncooked meat was more than likely just fat. Anyways, in the end I made a pretty tasty steak and the process was much quicker than I would have thought. Thanks for the help!

I’ve made your recipe like 4 times now. So delicious!
Great to hear!
My absolute favourite steak when I was young was a seared sirloin that was then cooked in the oven on a bed of onions and also topped with onion and covered in foil, cooked for about 20 minutes on a high heat and it was just delicious.
Probably not the best way to cook a sirloin but for me it was just a tasty, lovely, moist, succulent, tender and easy meal that was “put in a pan to sear it, then pop in an oven tray and forget it for 20 minutes” and you got what to 12 year old me was the best steak imaginable.
I just made my first steak ever using your tips and it turned out very tasty thanks a lot ♥️
