  1. burning spices off a pre seasoned steak… with metal tongs in a non-stick… trying to get a passable sear in a non-stick… without oil… at medium low heat as to not burn the teflon…

    all that while aiming for medium while the gray bands on the sides are already past half way through the steak but yeah just blame the wife for missing the medium target lmao

      Cant see the point to be honest. Who are you trying to impress at home?

      I do 2 minutes each side, raging heat and a little oil. The. Reduce heat and cook another minute each side with butter and aromats. Comes out the same.
