पालक की चटनी | Palak Ki Chutney | How to Make Spinach Chutney | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

PALAK KI CHUTNEY.

Ingredients.

1 medium bunch (250 grams) spinach.
1 medium onion.
1 big tomato.
1 tsp oil.
1 tablespoon split Bengal gram (chana dal).
1 tablespoon split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal).
1/4 tsp asafoetida.
4 dried red chillies, broken.
Salt to taste.
2 green chillies, broken.
4 tbsps scraped coconut.
2 tsps tamarind pulp.

Technique.

1. Roughly slice onion and tomato.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add chana dal, urad dal and sauté till light brown. Include asafoetida and red chillies and mix.
3. Add onion and mix. Add tomato and mix once again.
4. Tear spinach leaves and include. Toss to mix. Add salt and mix. Add green chillies and blend well and prepare till spinach is soft.
5. Add coconut and blend well. Add tamarind pulp and mix once again. Turn off heat and set aside to cool. Grind to a great paste.
6. Serve as an accompaniment with idlis or dosas.
