How To Cook Perfect Rice Every Time

Here is what you'll need!

Pilaf
Servings: 4

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 shallot, carefully sliced
1 cup white long grain
3 tablespoons gewurztraminer
1 3/4 cups chicken stock
Pinch of salt

PREPARATION
In a little pot over high heat, add the olive oil.
As soon as the oil starts to shimmer, add the shallot, and until it begins to brown, stirring periodically.
Include the rice and stir to completely coat with oil and shallots. Include the white wine and stir to integrate.
Include the chicken stock and salt and bring to a boil.
As soon as boiling, put a lid on the pot and decrease the heat to simmer. Prepare for 18 minutes.
Get rid of the pot from the heat and let steam for 10 minutes.
Delight in!

Short-Grain .
Servings: 4.

COMPONENTS.
1 cup short-grain .
1 1/4 cups water.
Pinch of salt.

PREPARATION.
In a little pot, include the rice, water, and salt, and bring to a boil over high heat.
Add the lid to the pot and turn the heat to a simmer.
for 15 minutes.
Get rid of from the heat and let steam with the cover on for 10 minutes.
Delight in!

Wild rice.
Servings: 4.

INGREDIENTS.
1 cup brown brief grain rice.
2 cups water.
Pinch of salt.

PREPARATION.
In a small pot, include the rice, water, and salt, and give a boil over high heat.
Add the lid to the pot and turn the heat to a simmer.
Prepare for 45 minutes.
Eliminate from the heat and let steam with the cover on for 10 minutes.
Enjoy!

White Rice.
Servings: 4.

COMPONENTS.
1 cup white long grain rice.
1 3/4 cups water.
Pinch of salt.

PREPARATION.
In a small pot, add the rice, water, and salt, and give a boil over high heat.
Add the cover to the pot and turn the heat to a simmer.
Prepare for 18 minutes.
Get rid of from the heat and let steam with the lid on for 10 minutes.
Delight in!

    1. @Abhay Ajoodha easy fix. Place a pan on the eye for the flame to hit, and sit the pot of rice on top of the pan. This helps distribute the heat evenly and lessens the heat hitting the rice 👍🏼

    3. Some tips so the rice won’t burn is to steam the pot of rice. place the pot on larger pan and then add some water on the pan, bring it to boil after that simmer it. Don’t open the lid. I guarantee the rice will not burnt before the pan got burnt

Some of these comments are absolutely ridiculous, but I personally struggled to make rice because someone else always did my cooking, so now that I’m forced to learn how to feed myself, this video was very helpful, I followed your instructions to the letter and my rice actually came out perfect. Thanks for taking the time to post this video.

For whatever reason, cooking has always been so daunting to me (I do it, just rarely) so I thought I’d look for an easy cookbook for beginners.     1. If you buy a rice cooker you just fill the water to the line and youre good to go.

I totally get that every culture has different ways of making the same foods and that’s great, But I’m Costa Rican (we eat rice every single day, multiple times a day, and love it) and when I went to Canada I didn’t understand why people didn’t like rice… until I saw them making it like this. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ then it all made sense!!
