You should think for yourself instead
Looked SO good… until you added beans. Dammit.
There’s nothing controversial about beans being in chili. Texas is wrong, and the sooner they realize that, the better.
Maβam, thereβs nothing wrong with Taco Stew, especially to make yourself some Mexican Jambalaya. π«ππ
Itβs actually very delicious. Which is what this is.

If beans don’t belong in chili, then why is there a need to add “con carne” to the word “chili” to denote that it has meat in it… Like if there’s no beans then regular chili is just a sauce that’s eaten on its own?
Chili peppers with meat. Chili con carrne.
Made chili afew nights ago, personally I started with a tomato base from the garden in addition to the pepper purΓ©e and onions I added celery, and very light on toppings if anything. Cheese gets a bad texture when slowly melted into the broth if you ask me.
I mean you can put what you want in it, I put sweet bell peppers in it (UK) along with onions, beans, meat and actual chilli peppers I enjoy the different textures and flavours
