  1. I love this channel❤❤❤ Good morning everyone have an absolutely beautiful day

  2. Better hack with the corn after microwaving is to slice the stock or thick end taking off the first tiny bit of corn. Then grab an oven mitt and squeeze the cob out from the pointy end.

    1. Doing it your way also keeps the silk inside the husk instead of on the corn. 😊

    2. That’s the way I do it too. Works every time. And I find that the corn is cooked as well.

  3. Garlic, sponge, butternut squash, cleaning, lime, pasta, herbs, potatoes, and potatoes chips are all new to me. Thank you Nicole!!!! Take a break and rest. You deserve it!!!!

  4. Finally, a video that actually teaches me how to use my microwave beyond just reheating leftovers. Pure genius!❤

  5. I’m a 73 year old widow and I love your channel 💕 I made homemade chips when I was a teenager 😋 I like them extra brown, have you tried to dip them in chocolate 🤔ohhhh my goodness, that’s a snack for special occasions 😊 my sister was 12 years older than me. Her husband thought the tuna casserole was chicken🤦‍♀️thank you for all the cool tips, gotta do the drying Christmas tree 🎄 😊have a blessed week 👑🙏🏼

  6. Just tried the poached egg and I was surprised, how good it turned out 👏👏👏🙏🥰

    1. It works better if you heat the water below boiling, add the egg, heat a little longer until a strong simmer, then let sit 3-5 minutes. The cooking times scale for up to 4 eggs and the sitting time declines.

  7. My mom cooks the butternut squash with the peel on and then scoops out the insides! :))

  8. That baked ziti looked delicious! We need the recipe!! Thanks for all the tips! 💕

  9. I want your dorm room tuna casserole recipe. You could do a whole episode on dorm room cooking.

    1. There was a book called the starving students cookbook many years ago…you’d like it, nicole.

  10. The BEST way to keep your microwave Clean, is to buy a random glass lid at a thrift store and always cover your food with it when cooking. This also steams your food so you don’t have to use plastic wrap – and consume all the chemicals that come in plastic wrap. It’s awesome for rice! Additionally, I never cook on high in the microwave, I always cook on medium or medium high ensuring even cooking every time. After all, we don’t always cook on high on the stove, do we? We shouldn’t in the microwave either. Food for thought 💭…

    1. I make sure everything I put in the microwave is covered and I only clean my microwave with a cup of water boiled and paper towels.

  11. For the chocolate mug cake, put a chunk of chocolate in the middle of the mixture (make sure its well covered by the batter otherwise it will burn). After cooking, it’ll turn into a “melt in the middle” chocolate cake. Just let it cool for a few minutes before eating though.

  12. How times have changed. In the early 80s, we cooked mac & cheese in the blue box in a Presto Hot Shot (made to just boil water, but the whole box fit in it)! lol

  13. A few things: to see if something is heated all the way through, touch the bottom of the plate. If the bottom of the plate is hot, it is fully reheated. The half power for twice as long is a fantastic method. I have used it forever. Consider using a paper plate as a lid. I don’t like cooking with plastic anywhere near my microwave.

  14. Nicole, I just want you to know that I enjoy watching your shows. You are funny and down to earth. You were made for TV.

  15. Why I watch this channel…your voice and accent. I know someone who sounded just like you and lost touch, so yep, nostalgic. I don’t eat like this anymore, but the recipes bring back so many memories, again, nostalgic. I enjoy the simplicity and authenticity. So thank you.

  16. You can make the mug cake, substituting, almond flour, and a Stevia based or erythritol sweetener… Go easier on the sweetener because it is very sweet and I add just a bit of pink salt too ,and have the same dessert… And then it’s pretty healthy as well… It’s yummy too and no guilt for the sugar!

  17. I never end up buying fresh herbs because I never end up using hardly any of it and it goes bad. That microwave hack is going to save me a fortune! Thank you
