I like how the pasta expert corrected his pronunciation of the word Bolognese and he still kept saying it wrong.

Matty is pronouncing it correctly for an English speaker – he is not speaking Italian. English borrows words from German, French, Italian, Spanish and many other origins, but it doesn’t necessarily pronounce them the same as the original. That’s the way all Languages work. Note the Italian word ‘ragù’ actually comes from the French ‘ragoût’, and each pronounce it slightly different. What do you call a ‘bologna’ sandwich?

I really liked this video — I found it very helpful! I’m wondering if Matty ever worked in a bar. He kind of yell-talks just like a friend of mine who’s worked in a bar for over 10 years, and I’m pretty sure she’s lost some hearing due to the nature of the job.
