How to Boil Crawfish with a spicy cajun flavoring for a crawfish boil with all the dealings with recipe.

WHAT MALCOM USED IN THIS DISH:
– Malcom's King Craw Crawfish Boil –

One Pot Crawfish Boil Dish

Active ingredients:
– 1 sack live crawfish
– 5lbs Malcom's King Craw Crawfish and Crab Boil
– 6 lemons cut in half
– 3 big yellow onions quartered
– 2-3 heads of garlic peeled
– 1 stick butter
– 16oz white vinegar
– 1 can pickled jalapenos with juice
– 1 dozen frozen corn on the cob kids
– 2 # small red potatoes
– 2 pints of mushrooms
– 3 # smoked sausage cut into portions

Directions:
1. Clean the crawfish by flowing them in cool water up until the water runs clear. Drain the water and set the crawfish in the shade.
2. Fill an 80qt crawfish pot with fresh water about 1/2 way and place on crawfish burner.
3. Include crawfish boil mix, butter, vinegar, and lemons.
4. Bring the pot to a rolling boil and add onions, garlic, and pickled jalapeños.
5. Drop the potatoes and set a timer for 10 minutes
6. Drop the mushrooms and sausage and set a timer for 5 minutes
7. Include the crawfish and bring the pot back to a boil. As soon as it begins to boil set a timer for 3 minutes then eliminate the fire.
8. Include the corn and stir the crawfish with a paddle to assist the pot cool a little. Place the lid back on and soak for 45 minutes before serving.

  2. Instead of vinegar, I use Louisiana hot sauce. Has plenty of vinegar in it and tastes better

  5. Being a Louisiana guy (#225 Geaux Tigers Geaux Jags) I can appreciate this. It’s many ways to boil crawfish, but the important thing is to certainly clean them, not over boil them 5 minutes max, & soak them no longer that 50 minutes after the cooling process. As this will make them hard to peel.

  6. As a Lafayette LA native I gotta say you really nailed it man. Down to the soak and all. I even love the note about not seasoning the outside. I hate when people do that! Totally agree that your seasoning should be in the boil ONLY. Looked delicious, Malcom!

    1. I have to say I’m never been one to season the outside, But I changed my tune. I got some shake from Lafayette and it really puts the icing on the cake
