Chopped banana stem (Valaithandu) – 400 grams
1 hour soaked chana dal – ¼ cup
1 hour soaked toor dal – ¼ cup
Garlic cloves – 3
Green chilli – 2
Onion – 1 (small size)
Tomato – 1
Water – 2 cups
Turmeric powder
Salt
Oil – 1 tbl spoon
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Urad dal – 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon
Chopped shallots – 10
Dry chilli – 2
Chopped garlic – 3
Curry leaves
Asafoetida
Grated coconut – ½ cup
Coriander leaves
