Chai ke saath khaane ke liye banae Maharashtrian unique fritters made using urad dal and some handful of ingredients. Serve this garma-garam puri like fun fritter to your liked ones today.

Active ingredients

1 cup split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal), cleaned, soaked for 3-4 hours and drained pipes
1/2 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta).
Salt to taste.
1 tsp coriander powder.
1 tsp cumin powder.
1 tsp red chilli powder.
1/2 tsp crushed black peppercorns.
1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
6-8 curry leaves, very finely shredded.
2 tbsps sliced fresh coriander leaves.
Oil for deep frying.
Coconut chutney to serve.

Approach.

1. Put the soaked split skinless black gram in a mixer jar. Include salt and mix to a great thick paste. Include some water if needed.
2. Transfer the paste into a large bowl. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, crushed black peppercorns, turmeric powder, curry leaves, coriander and entire wheat flour and mix till well integrated. Continue to beat the mix with the help of your hand for 5 minutes or till the batter turns light and fluffy.
3. Take a little sheet of plastic, use some water on it and put a portion of the mixture. Flatten it into a disc.
4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Carefully slide in the discs a couple of at a time and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain pipes on an absorbent paper.
5. Set up on a serving plate and serve hot with coconut chutney.
