  4. Jamie, add that filling to a samosa ❤I promise if you add some chilli, it is delicious

  5. Being Greek and although the pies of our cuisine are based on phyllo pastry, I can’t but approve of this recipe. Mint is another herb that suits this recipe and for extra freshness zest some lemon :).

    1. Not everyone has access to all those ingredients. I love the fact that he was able to put it a recipe together that people with limited ingredients can use. I’m definitely gonna do it. I love the recipe. I think it’s great and creative. I don’t have Filo dough or mint. ❤

    2. @Julie Lemus It’s fine, no worries. I only mentioned them because my grandmother used to add mint to spinach pie. Actually, she made her own phyllo and the stuffing was from greens from her garden; anything.

    3. Can you please share your Greek recipe I would be honored to have it so when I have all the ingredients I can make it that would be amazing. Thank you so kindly.

  7. This is spanakopita. Add a couple of tablespoons of vinegar or white wine to the dough mix, and you get a nice crumbly soft dough when cooked.

  8. There should be a little olive oil in the phyllo dough, too; it would have made the dough tastier and crunchier. Maybe, self-raising flour is not the best idea, as it tends to become kind of soggy and rubbery; personally, I would go for the all purpose flour, for a crunchier bite, but that’s just a matter of taste. Other than that, perfect. Spinach and feta cheese is a match made in (Greek) heaven…

  9. Most similar Greek pies are based in Phyllo pastry. However there are versions like this too.
