A Rajasthani kadhi which is very simple prep and produces a hearty meal when paired with steamed rice. Masaledar kadhi made with mangodi

MASALA MANGODI KADHI

Ingredients

1/2 cup mangodi (moong dal wadi).
3 tbsps gram flour (besan).
3/4 cup yogurt.
130 gm bhuna masala.
1 tbsp oil.
1/2 tsp mustard seeds.
2-3 dried red chillies, broken.
12-15 curry leaves.

Method.

1. Put gram flour in a bowl, include yogurt and whisk till smooth. Include bhuna masala and mix well. Include 2 cups water and keep whisking till you get a lump-free mixture.
2. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds, dried red chillies, curry leaves and mangodi and saute for 3-4 minutes.
3. Include yogurt-gram flour mix, mix well and prepare, stirring at intervals, till it thickens to desired consistency.
4. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with steamed rice.
