1 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt.
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
3 tablespoons coconut oil or grease.
1/2 cup popcorn kernels.
1/4 cup sugar.

Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. In a small bowl, mix together the salt and cinnamon. Reserve.

Heat a big Dutch oven, covered, over medium-high heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the coconut oil and heat 30 seconds. To examine if the Dutch oven is hot enough, include a couple of popcorn kernels to the pan and cover with the cover. Cook up until you hear the kernels pop, 1 to 2 minutes.

Add the remaining kernels and the sugar, stir to integrate and cover. Shake the pan vigorously to coat the kernels in the sugar and oil. Cook, shaking the pan frequently, until the popping has actually slowed to about 2 pops per second, about 2 minutes.

Eliminate the Dutch oven from the heat and carefully uncover. Put the mixture onto the ready pan and spray with the cinnamon salt. Take care: the popcorn is exceptionally hot at this point. Permit the kettle corn to cool for 5 minutes prior to enjoying.

  5. The best popcorn is made on the stove top. I shake the pan back and forth to keep it from burning.

  6. LOOOVE kettle corn!

    Sadly, it’s hard to eat any kind of popcorn. Stupid dental work can’t take an accidental unpopped seed. And kettle cord and/or caramel corn are sticky enough to have unpopped seeds sticking to popped ones.
