  1. Jamaican Curry with an Indian twist. It’s nice to see the mix of cultures/flavours. 😋

    1. …Good… She is keeping our Jamaican restaurants in business. Don’t be so upset.

    2. @Debbie Marquis and it’s not the Jamaican way. Period. This video is embarrassing.

    3. @M Somebody can’t listen well. She said at the very beginning that it’s a Jamaican curry with EAST INDIAN influence. Get over yourself. This looks fantastic.

  2. Wouldn’t say Jamaican curry we don’t use coconut milk and everything added at the end. Inspired maybe…

  3. Thank you Chef Barr for a wonderful (and timely) recipe with fall/winter in the air.
This reads to me as a first cousin of jerk chicken so I am down with everything. I love your method of piercing the Scotch bonnet even though I would happily dice it up. Truly an outstanding recipe that everywhere on this planet can tweak to make it their own without losing the spirit and history of this dish. Appreciate you and #Munchies for taking the time to share this with all of us.

  4. WOW 😯

  8. Ha! I was going to respond to comments. I’ll agree that this is not a classic Jamaican curry, but I’d fault the editors at Vice, NOT the chef represented here. I’d say most Jamaicans, including those in Jamaican restaurants are NOT toasting and grinding their own spices. But keep up the troll comments so the YT algorithm shows the video to more people, and hopefully helps Suzanne sell more books. I just bought one! If Munchies does decide to update the title, they’ll probably want to correct the misspelling in Suzanne’s name (two N’s)

  9. Taking time out to do things right, know you’re interested that’s what I see what doing going step by step,so that ,keep everything, you can understand who keep the flavor color,so you can have a delicious meal.

  12. “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere. We’ve got to get the children connected to their parents”
