I don’t think we have ginger in syrup in Spain. With what I can replace it?
Ground ginger or grated fresh ginger will do just fine. Maybe add some extra sugar

They’re called mooncakes and are given as gifts to family & friends as part of the mid-Autumn festival. I’d love to try my hand at making a batch, but a special mould is needed so I’ll have to check my local Chinese market to see if they sell them (there are a few easy recipes on YT).
We can’t get that ginger in the supermarkets here in Australia. Ginger in syrup reminds me of growing up in Essex at Christmas time❤️

Ginger r oot is really really pungent and medicinal, interesting how it can change and be so sweet like in this video. I want to learn how to make it into a sweet treat. Looks yummy nummy.
