In a typical day, Robert Oberst takes in 15,000– 20,000 calories to power himself through hours of punishing training.

  1. The feats of strength that Robert Oberst and other strongmen have to perform are just jaw dropping. However, given the amount of calories he has to consume in order to sustain this high level of performance, I can see why nature would make such a body type a rarity. Could you imagine if even 10 percent of the male population could approximate this man’s level of strength? The amount of food such an army of men would require would deplete our food supply.

    1. @user-se5ef5pl3o I agree. This is probably another reason nature tends to discourage this amount of mass on a person, and why building a lot of muscle is hard.

    1. This is also from 10 years ago, canโ€™t imagine what it costs with todayโ€™s prices.

    2. @AceAlbatros you’re right…he wouldn’t be buying that, unless he had 2 million plus followers

    3. @GoldVP… thankfully the jobs gotta pay well too. Dudes a walking demigod

  2. Should probably get some chickens at that point so he wonโ€™t have to buy quite as many eggs.

    1. โ€‹eivindgjengstjohansen9625His legs are tiny especially to be 400 pounds. Be lucky if each leg is 40 pounds. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. Never that usually just back and chest. And he doesn’t know what leg day is.

    2. He can one calf work out , lifting a steroid body builder and the weights that body builder works out. The looks are missleading. These guys pull trucks and even plains on their calves.

  3. When I was 23, 5’5″ and 190lbs I had to eat over 6k cals a day to even hit 200lbs. This guy is literally twice my size so he could eat 10k/daily. He could also only be eating 6-7k with a random 10k cheat thrown in. It takes fewer cals per pound to maintain larger people than smaller. Like elephants eat tiny amounts for their weight but hummingbirds eat half their weight in food daily. So I’d also agree he’s likely morr around 7k.

  4. The fact some people call his legs skinny is crazy. And he weighted around 440 so 10-15k kcal is pretty accurate

  5. His carbon footprint is probably 30 times the average person. I bet he produces enough methane gas to fuel his own car.
