I can’t wait to try this! I did an internship in Jamaica years ago and they love their chicken!
this makes me want to try all the time 😆😋
I’m not tripping, this is really old right? He’s not still that young looking is he?! Either way, always love his meals and recipes – he’s very satisfying to watch cook!
Yes this is a very old video, but very very good.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this comment made my day
Hello, Jamie very nice your cooking am smiling about your demonstration, your quality an then an then
Mate, you’ve knocked it right out the park again
Thank you for all your delicious dishes.
American Airlines in the admirals club’s serving jerk chicken soup (!) it’s so good, like Christmas Eve
Looks great but this isnt Jamaican cooking at all. We wash our meat and vegetables and we put coconut milk in our rice and peas. Jerk chicken isnt done like that either 😂
Thank you family!
Have you ever made a curry? How about a pizza? Or maybe pasta? Were those dishes made 100% authentically and exactly like the original or not, and you just followed the cooking instructions and enjoyed the food?
@@questionmark9819shut up
@@questionmark9819huh😂 jerk seasoning sauce does not have Rum 😂😂
He did say Jamaican inspired, so perhaps he’s just using his own inspiration as he likes to make things his own
The Jerk flavours won’t really be that prominent unless you marinade the chicken first.
True.
Thank you for sharing, and that’s coming from someone who is Black Caribbean British, I think making food that is inspired by other places, is a good thing 🌸
Jamaicans are offended. Just leave it there.
@thinkmoneywithmariehi, thank you for responding to my comment, thought I’d just say, your well within your rights to feel what you feel, however, I think, it’s not fair, and a bit much, to asume that every person from the Caribbean is offended by this, personally, I don’t get easily offended with most things but that’s just me, and as mentioned before, my ethnic origin is Caribbean, St. Vincent and Cuba, but I also have Scottish and Portuguese in my heritage, with that being said, I was born and raised, in the UK, I have always resided in the UK, so I’m very much connected with being British, so, that’s just a little insight into me, and to give context to why I have the opinions that I have, and to add, my aunty who is married to my uncle, she is Jamaican, I understand what you said on this subject, going back to the video, and that’s fair enough, your entitled to your opinion, I stand on my opinion, this is said with kindness and respect to you, I think food, is glorious, and wonderful, and anyone who has a passion for food should be allowed to experiment, and adapt, and interpret many different types of food, recipes or ingredients into new ways, what an honor, the way that I see it, that this gentlemen chef, has looked to the Caribbean, and was inspired to create something different, unique, new, why should certain foods just stay the same, sometimes it’s nice, it’s a good thing to switch things up, the original version’s will always be there, the keyword mentioned here in this video was inspired, he didn’t say this is how the Jamaicans make this, he said this was his interpretation, which for me, I welcome that, and I appreciate that, and I applaud him for stepping out of his comfort zone and venturing into the culinary world that is the home land of the Caribbean islands 🌸
Just call this jamie oliver Caribbean dish, mate u have to clean the rice 3 washes at least before adding to the pot
Oh men I enjoyed watching your cooking. An gonna try this next weekend for sure. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing
Hey, man! I had a fry pan with your name on it, which I had from “Lidl”, in Romania! I am thinking to let this fry pan as a…legacy 😂or something like that! Love you, Jamie!
That is brown stewed chicken in Jamaica !!!! All foreigners believe jerk seasoning on chicken is the jerk chicken but it’s not !!!! Jerk is the method of cooking which is done either on grill and smoking or with woods
Jesus Christ how unuh dunce so? The man Jamaican inspired. Does it have to be perfect? I would not eat it but I love that we inspire him
@@conrodlindsay5463 It is a misrepresentation of our culture !!!!! You have so many people overseas cooking chicken in a stew marinated in jerk seasoning and then selling that internationally to be “jerk Chicken” !!!!! You wouldn’t want to be the original designer of a brand of clothes? Then you have all sorts of people overseas doing a knock-off, because that would be like a counterfeit of the original brand
@@InezDowns-z5yrelax. We sell Chinese food in Jamaica thats nothing like the real thing.
