I’ve been making feta and watermelon salad for years; it’s great with a bbq. Always use mint, too. I add some finely chopped red onion rings too for a kick of flavour.

My old Greek landlord in Athens back in the 80s would eat watermelon with feta on the balcony every night on the hot summer nights. The whole neighborhood could smell it. He would be amazed to see that watermelon and feta is a trend now! 😄

Lovely…Interesting the way the watermelon was sliced and the rim cucumber flavors coming through…..Normally we just scoop out and discard the rest…But once had a vegetable preparation made with watermelon outer green portion…Did not suit the stomach though…
I love watermelons. Once every few years, I accidentally manage to buy (in the UK) a watermelon that was not harvested months ago. Those who have tasted watermelon freshly picked (chilled) knows the difference in taste and texture.
