As someone that takes photos of food in restaurants, I will say that it’s primarily the same reason Asmon takes pictures of his steak. The stuff coming out of my kitchen would make McD look gourmet.
While watching this I remembered an episode that an owner tried to claim that their food was fresh frozen.
I think thats the “caribbean” hotel lol
This show made me afraid to go out and eat. I went to a BBQ restaurant and while waiting for the food I ran my fingers along the wall and the dust was unbelievable. It made me want to inspect their kitchen 😂😂
The standards for handling food in the UDA for restaurant is really not difficult.
Making sure the areas are clean
Food kept at certain temps
Storing food properly
Washing hands before handling food
Cleaning up after handling food ect
I dont understand why these restaurants cant follow such simple requirements.
They and their employees get lazy.
Right. And the prices they charge for the plates of slop are ridiculous.

That last one cracks me up. When owners are so controlling and arrogant they are blinded by their own complete and utter failure. They place the blame on everyone around them when everyone is only doing THEIR bidding.

One thing that really makes me respect Gordon, for a guy who made his whole career on being the abusive nasty chef who swears a lot, he is UNFAILINGLY polite to every server he encounters.
Gordon is honest the swearing 🤬 part you can skip overall I think he’s a kind and honest man that’s very talented and help others by teaching them and humbling them.
@Moush Abdi Agreed. I’ve just spent my fair share of time as a server and we’re ALWAYS the person people think are OK to abuse and we just have to smile and take it because we live on their tips. Sadly, in my experience, chefs and people who work back of house at other restaurants were some of the worst. So, the fact that Gordon is polite to the point of being out of character with servers says a lot about his character. All of it good.
