why should you discard the closed mussels,.can’t you just open it with a butter knife? seems like a waste to cook mussels and throw them away because they don’t open on their own
Closed mussel after cooking means the mussel was dead (normally mussels are alive before being cooked). So yeah you can eat it but you’re raising your chance of food poisoning by a lot.
