When feeling queasiness, drained pipes or merely require a pure healthy revitalizing drink then a Lemon Ginger Ale. The perfect energy beverage.

LEMON GINGER ALE

Ingredients

3/4 cup finely chopped ginger
2 cups sugar syrup
6 tsps lemon juice
Ice cubes as required
Drinking soda as required
Lemon slices for garnish

Approach

1. Heat 2 1/2 cups water in a deep pan. Add ginger and mix well. Bring it to a boil and continue to cook for 10-15 minutes.
2. Strain the mix in a bowl and enable to cool totally.
3. Add the sugar syrup to the ginger mix and mix well till integrated.
4. To serve, add a couple of ice in specific serving glasses, add a part of the prepared ginger syrup, 1 1/2 tsps lemon juice in each glass and leading it up with soda.
5. Garnish with lemon pieces and serve immediately.

Note- You can store the ginger syrup in an airtight jar and keep it in the refrigerator.

  4. Very refreshing drink. Easy to make. I think we can make salt pepper version also in place of sugar based.

    I have a couple of clarification questions and hope that you will reply.

    Can we store the remaining ginger water in the fridge and if so for how long?

    What do we do with the boiled ginger? Can we use it in other recipes?

    1. Yes you can store for 3-4 days. After boiling ginger it is not advisable to use it in other recipes as the essential vitamins are lost.
