  2. Since you’re going to puree the tomatoes, I wouldn’t bother boiling or peeling.

    Less clean up, and the skin has a lot of nutrition that you’re removing.

    1. I thought the same thing why waste the time of removing the skin from the tomatoes I wouldn’t waste the effort either.

  3. When simmering for the 2 hours, how often do you stir the sauce?

  4. What about adding Oregano and Italian Seasoning? Oh, and a pinch of sugar?

    1. In France, they use carrots to counter the acidity of the tomatoes. But you CAN make tomato sauce with just tomatoes.

    2. You can even but in grated zucchini for more nutrients. Also another way to hide veggies from kids.

    3. It’s also one of those, “I have these veggies in my fridge. Time to use them” which is perfect btw because carrots are naturally sweet without adding sugar. (Some people add sugar to their sauce)
