Cornbread dressing is my favorite as well. Thanks for sharing. 😊
❤looks beautiful and delicious and thanks for sharing the recipe
I think it’s called stuffing because if it’s made right and delicious we stuff ourselves with it LOL
Pour some turkey juices in the cornbread dressing mix😋
Genius! I totally prefer stuffing in the bird because it has all the juice from the turkey cooking into it.
So what’s next? Cornbread, Cranberries, Yams Maybe
My grandma made her cornbread dressing on the stove top❤️
Oh…. yeah! Dressing over stuffed turkey any time. I don’t even like turkey all that much. I would be in heaven if I could shaped the cornbread to look like a turkey.
Dressing is the best part of the Thanksgiving meal 😆 lol..
In our family we mix bread and cornbread, but we like our onions and celery baked directly in the mix, so they stay a little crunchy!!! Love our homemade dressing!!!
Yes, we never sauté the celery and onions either.
My mom was from South Carolina. The only thing she added to the same recipe was some white bread. I love cornbread stuffing and it’s the only one I have ever made.
It’s best to ALWAYS taste for seasonings BEFORE ADDING RAW EGGS.
Almost all Southern Cornbread Dressing Recipes call for a little crumbled biscuits, firm rolls, white bread in a 150 oven just to lightly dry. Got to use plenty of chicken broth until wet. But,this is a recipe personal to you. Nothing taste better than tradition.
Stuffing is the absolute best! I can taste the difference
Being from MN, I like to add Minnesota Wild Rice to the recipe for that nutty and crunchy taste. OH, SO GOOD!
That looks good I will try your recipe also♥️♥️Thank you for all your great recipes. Have a great Thanksgiving.
My father always made dressing/ stuffing with Saltine crackers. It’s an Appalachian/ Amish recipe.
THAT’S JUST LIKE MAMA USE TO MAKE!!!🥰
We sauté the trinity, stale cornbread, bread cubes, some of the meat and broth from the giblets, then the eggs and sage. It isn’t Thanksgiving without it. Thanks for the recipe.
Yes I agree. Cornbread dressing, gravy, jellied cranberry saue and Mac and cheese are my perfect bite.
Ok, may I please add that MY MOMMA!!!!! We from the SOUTH! Made it a LITTLE different W/(LOVE!) You have to mix this in a pot on the stove, chicken broth, crumbled corn bread, add raw onions and celery, Yes RAW, add dried sage, and pulled chicken, yes it has actual chicken pieces in the dressing, then taste it BEFORE you add the eggs…….. this was my most favorite memory growing up with my mom, we got to Taste the Dressing before we cooked it in the oven, add and adjust seasonings, we LOVE SAGE up in hereaaaaa!…… Then add your eggs and stir and put in your pans to cook………….Love the smell of the house this time of year, Happy Thanksgiving.
Oh my goodness you have me dying of laughter when you said you take that very expensive stuff that comes from the can I love you you’re funny and I love your style and this dressing yes you have inspired me to do one cornbread and then one sourdough stuffing cuz I’m here in San Francisco we have really good sourdough bread so yes happy holidays to you and thank you for sharing oh yeah and I receive your Allrecipes magazine so I am all in on all recipes.!
