Always had cauliflower as a sabzi right? Then make this quick starter with cauliflower florets.
HARIYALI GOBHI BALLS
Components
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
1 cup fresh coriander leaves
1 medium cauliflower, cut into little florets
2 green chillies
1 inch ginger, peeled and approximately sliced
6-8 garlic cloves
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 cup dried bread crumbs + for covering
1/2 cup gram flour (besan).
Corn flour-refined flour slurry as required.
Oil for deep frying.
Tomato catsup to serve.
Approach.
1. Put the green chillies, ginger, and garlic in a grinder container. Grind to a coarse paste.
2. Add mint leaves, cauliflower florets, salt, coriander leaves, garam masala powder, and grind to a coarse paste.
3. Transfer the ground paste in a big bowl. Include dried bread crumbs and gram flour and mix till well integrated. Take small parts of the mix, and shape each portion into a ball.
4. Dip each ball in the slurry and coat with dried bread crumbs.
5. Heat adequate oil in a kadai. Gently slide in the balls and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
6. Serve hot with tomato catsup.
