It will be thick and chewy on the underside cause u folded it like that. There won’t be an even texture. I once tried it and it felt tough on the other side. You have to do it the regular way: Stuff into a ball and roll it out. I agree this is easier for beginners and does hold more fillings, but the dough ball method tastes better.
For all the parathas, it is always making dough and ball works well. It stays soft for hours together!
