This Diwali, why not add a modern twist to traditional mithai with the irresistibly scrumptious 'Chocolate Burfi'? This delightful sweet reward is filled with rich, chocolaty goodness, so prepare yourself to whip it up and spread extra sweet taste this festive season! โœจ.

CHOCOLATE BURFI.

Components.

3 cups grated mawa/ khoya.
Ghee for greasing.
1/2 cup sugar.
3 tbsps cocoa powder.
Silver varq for garnish.

Technique.

1. Grease a tray with ghee and keep aside.
2. Cook mawa in a thick-bottomed non-stick pan, stirring continually, till it melts entirely and has a thick sauce like consistency. Do not let it colour.
3. Add sugar and stir till it is totally melted and mawa is prepared.
4. Remove half of this mixture and put onto the greased tray. For spreading the mawa equally on the tray, hold the tray from 2 sides and tap it on a tough surface area 2-3 times. Let it cool.
5. Keep the staying half on low heat. Include cocoa powder and mix well.
6. Put the cocoa mixture over the earlier mix. Let it cool completely. Garnish with silver varq, cut into pieces and serve.
