चिकू बर्फी | Chickoo Burfi | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A delightfully rich burfi with the goodness of season's preferred- Chickoo, is definitely lip-smacking. The sweet delight is filled with nuts to improve the taste.

Ingredients

8 chickoo, peeled, deseeded and grated
3 tablespoons slivered blended nuts (pistachios, almonds, and cashew nuts).
1/4 cup grated mawa.
1/3 cup sliced jaggery.
1/2 tsp green cardamom powder.
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder.
2 1/2 tsps ghee + for greasing.
Silver varq for garnish.

Approach.

1. Dry roast slivered nuts in a non-stick pan on low heat for 3-4 minutes. Transfer on a plate.
2. Transfer the chickoo into the exact same pan and continually stir and prepare on low heat for 5-6 minutes or till the chickoo turns soft and pulpy.
3. Add mawa and mix well. for 3-4 minutes.
4. Add the jaggery and mix well. till it melts.
5. Continue to stir and cook till the mix leaves the sides of the pan.
6. Include green cardamom powder and cinnamon powder and blend well. Add 3/4 of the roasted nuts, and ghee and mix till well integrated.
7. Grease a burfi tray with some ghee. Include the mixture into it and spread it evenly till the top is leveled. Spray the remaining roasted blended nuts and press it lightly.
8. Set it aside to cool totally.
9. Apply silver varq, cut into squares and set up on a serving plate. Serve.
