  9. Those houses are lovely, and it’s great that they can be reused. I was one of 7 kids – 5 of us are Boomers. Our devoted Parents, now deceased, made Christmas and New Years very special, and I’ve tried to do the same for our boys, and now our Grandchildren. I’ve always done special wrapping, with wired bows, etc., and one passed down tradition was to find unique stocking items (ie: my younger sister was the only sibling who liked Dill Pickles, so she always had a jar, sitting on the mantle above her stocking 😄). I also roll, cut, bake and decorate 450 Gingerbread Cookies for gifts (and Christmas Day) every year. Thank heaven they freeze well. I start in November. My FAVOURITE thing, now, is my Cookies and Crafts Day with my 3 1/2 year old Granddaughter. These are the moments that kids remember and cherish – more than big gifts. Next year she will be old enough to start doing a Mini Gingerbread House (like I did with my boys). Yay ! I really enjoy Jennifer Garner. She seems like such a genuine and kind person.
