Dahi vade ka vratwala judwaa … This is a simple, upwas vala preparation of our traditional dahi vadas.
VRAT KE DAHI VADE
Components
1 1/2 cups cooked banyard millet (samo).
Oil for deep frying.
2 medium potatoes, boiled and peeled.
1 tsp cumin seeds.
2 tsps ginger-green chilli paste.
Rock salt to taste.
Thin buttermilk as needed.
Sweetened yogurt as required.
Red chilli powder to sprinkle.
Roasted cumin powder to sprinkle.
Sliced fresh coriander delegates spray.
Approach.
1. Heat enough oil in a kadai.
2. Take banyard millet in a bowl. Grate potatoes directly in the bowl.
3. Add cumin seeds, ginger-green chilli paste, rock salt and mix well.
4. Divide the mix into equal parts and roll into balls.
5. Move into hot oil and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain pipes and add to the buttermilk and reserve for 5 minutes.
6. Squeeze excess moisture and transfer in a serving plate. Drizzle sweetened yogurt on top.
7. Sprinkle red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder and coriander on top.
8. Serve immediately.
