    1. At least these don’t seem as bad as the places bar rescue goes to. Taffer doesn’t let people eat that food but imagine Ramsey at those places

    2. @@bradishler5967yeah and bars aren’t known for their food like a restaurant is. Bars typically have “alright” food ‘cause when you’re a few drinks in, the food tastes better by default lmao

    1. That’s just how it is in restaurants, you eat food that comes from grills like those believe it or not

    2. @@abbbbleI worked in restaurants from 14-27 and they only look like that if the cooks are lazy and don’t scrape the grill. You don’t want to be cooking on carbon buildup as the heat isn’t right and also it can flake off in little nasty bits on someone’s food. Even burger nights where you have burgers constantly going on the flat top you start them on one side and move them over when flipping and scrape the area to get new burgers on the grill.

    1. It’s more depend on who is ordering.
For me, I like it a little bit more on the overcook side. Not burnt, obviously, but with a bit of a crisp on its surface.
In contrast, I prefer steak to be rare to medium rare.

    1. The amount of people flaming the guy about asking for a temp is ridiculous you can serve salmon at above 125 degrees Fahrenheit however unless asked it’s best to cook fish to the very least 145 internally. Most do not cook or have not cook professionally and it shows 🤷‍♂️

    2. @@adrianrodriguez1052 You say this like cooking professionally is an achievement. Being a line cook is your greatest achievement and it shows

    3. @@nunya14170 😭😂 gotta love the blatant disrespect from a random nobody over the internet thanks for making my day 😂☝️

  1. “When you’re cooking for perfection you have to find something to fk up”

    You should appreciate that bud

  2. >Doesn’t get told how done the salmon has to be.
    >Decides to burn the living crap out of it.

    1. Restaurant standard tbh. If customer doesn’t state rarity the default is medium well.

    2. @@johnkeith7723my thoughts exactly but did you see the salmon? The whole thing was firm, it was definitely extra well done

    3. @@Motivation4daNation wrong. I’ve been a chef for over 30 years, my guy. Internal temp of 125°f for medium rare salmon steak.

  3. “I’ve never heard of an omelette having too much bacon.”

    Murica, F yeah!

    1. @@ddemons4730Fr, I love bacon but if you put too much and don’t drain any grease it’s super unpleasant on your stomach and leaves a weird aftertaste. I can put like 15 pieces in my omelette and still enjoy it though, how much grease and bacon were in that thing?😂

    2. And they think they have the best cuisine in the world 🤣🤣 beans on toast beats the clowns

  4. Every chef is aware of the FDA’s recommended temperature for cooking. Each protein has specific internal temperatures that ensure safety, consistency in taste and texture, and prevent overcooking. For instance, an internal temperature of 145° F would not result in overcooking.

  5. Dude asking how Gordon wants his salmon cooked came in with a vacuumed neck.

  6. If its overcooked then there is no excuse. He may not have know how the customer wanted it cooked. But he damn sure didnt want it overcooked.

  7. I love how Gordon is always so nice to the waiters. He understands that it’s not their fault. I also love listening to the waiters trash the cooks for being stubborn fools.

    1. Dumb take for this clip. He asked them repeatedly how he wanted it cooked and the other waitresses told her that yes, it is part of when ppl order it to ask how they want it cooked. She’s being a stubborn ahole when everyone else is telling her that she’s supposed to ask even the other waitresses. It was very clearly her fault

    2. In this instance though it was definitely the waitstaffs fault. They shouldnt have disregarded what the chef asked just because they didnt think thats what they normaly do. Just go out and ask how he wants the salmon cooked. Not hard.

    3. No, it’s because there’s customers around and Ramsey is not going to be disrespectful or cause a scene that could affect the customers, the staff, or the business unless it’s necessary. I don’t think Ramsey is even aware of the waitstaff’s involvement at this point.

  8. You don’t ask how people want salmon cooked, there is a middle ground when it’s got a little crisp on the outside, but flakey and moist on the inside. When you overcook fish it becomes dry

    1. Chef here…

You DEFINITELY ask and there are several reasons why.

Firstly, some fish like salmon hold a benefit in being undercooked without having a ‘fishy’ taste to it. Different methods of preparation have better results at different internal temperatures due to the fats within the salmon affecting the mouthfeel of the fish. You can simply just say you want salmon and let the chef do w/e but you can request pan-seared, grilled, fried, parchment cooked, etc and once you know what mouthfeel you desire for each preparation you can then tell the server what doneness you would wish for.

Personally? Parchment and tiny bit of pink is the way to go for me

    2. @@Flamingdreadraw salmon is good, so is smoked and every other method of cooking it

    3. @@brc2003if it’s sushi grade salmon. Otherwise you risk consuming parasites. Something tells me this place doesn’t make sure their salmon is sushi grade. Regardless, the rule of thumb at any restaurant is to cook it properly.

    4. @@sydneylyttle2012 This is definitely a “what they teach you in culinary school vs. real life” comment. Generally at any restaurant, especially a lower quality restaurant like this one, guests aren’t asked how they want the salmon done. My answer would be “correctly.”A guest can request their salmon be slightly undercooked, but in almost every case it is left up to the chef to determine the correct cook on the salmon for the dish. As for the method of cooking, that’s a little different. But if I go to a restaurant, the salmon is usually cooked per the dish. If it’s on the menu as grilled salmon, I’m not being asked if I’d like it pan fried instead. And if I’m being asked how done I would like the salmon, there should be options on the menu because most guests aren’t going to know the subtleties in flavor based on the cook like a trained chef might. My guess is this restaurant isn’t using salmon that can be undercooked anyway.

  9. “no one told me if we were checking to see if we were doing that.” Girl what are you yapping about😂😭

    1. Because logically why would you ask a cook how to make a salmon if I’m ordering a cooked salmon I would hope to get it cooked not raw not medium just fully cooked as it should be…

    2. Because nobody ever in history has asked “how do u want ur salmon cooked”. It’s not a burger bro

    3. @@awesomeflippergamer beicbeodbfowveocbsoxvrowox. that’s what i just read. i’m talking about how she sounds so stupid saying that. not what she was saying. incel

also cook: looks to be made of atleast 50%bacon 😂😂😂

  11. Them: How do you want your salmon cooked, rare, medium, or well done?
