Ingredients for Thai Basil Chicken Recipe:

( Tsp- Teaspoon; Tablespoon- Tablespoon )

– Boneless chicken thighs, cut into little pieces-300 gms

Tempering:
– Thai Bird Chilli/ red chilli, deseeded and fine sliced- 1 tsp
– Garlic, fine sliced- 7-8 cloves-2 tsp (10 gms).
– Spring onion white, chopped – 2 tbsp.

Sauce mix:.
– Light soy sauce-1 tsp.
– Dark soy sauce-1 tsp.
– Oyster Sauce-1 tbsp (United States procedure).
– Brown sugar-1.5 tsp.
– Water-1 tablespoon.

Greens-.
– Red peppers julienned- 1/2 cup – 40 gms.
– Spring onion greens cut into 1" long pieces- 1/2 cup.
– Thai Basil leaves-1 United States cup (10 gms).

Other Active ingredients:.
– Peanut oil-1.5 tbsp.
– Salt-1/ 4 tsp.

Preparation:.

– Cut the thigh boneless fillets to little pieces.
– Great chop the peeled garlic and the Thai bird eye chillies after deseeding.
– Slice the spring onion whites and cut the spring onion greens to inch long pieces.
– Prepare the sauce mix and blend it well. Set aside.
– Secure the Thai Basil leaves.

Process:.

– Heat peanut oil in a wok and after that include the chopped garlic and Thai chillies. Mix and stir fry on medium heat for 30 secs and after that add the sliced up spring onion whites. Mix and stir fry for another 30 secs and after that include the chicken pieces. Season with salt and stir fry on high heat for 2 mins.
– Now include the julienned red peppers and mix and fry for another minute.
– Now include the sauce mix and stir fry on medium heat for around 2 mins till the chicken is browned and the sauce coats the chicken pieces.
– Now add the spring onion greens and the basil leaves and stir fry on medium heat for another 1-2 mins till it's browned and the leaves are wilted.
– Serve with white rice.

  5. Great foundation. I found over the last few goes that my dressing recipe is best using 350g Greek yogurt and 60g Chipotle pepper iin Adobe sauce blended up and adding 1 to 2 tbsp water to thin the sauce a little. I absolutely love it.
