Garlic cloves – 20 to 25
Shallots – 20
Dry chilli – 7
Tomato – 2
Small piece of tamarind
Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon
Gingelly oil – 2 tbl spoon
Mustard & urad dal
Curry leaves
Dosa batter
Oil
Salt
Egg – 1 (For egg dosa)

Coconut Chutney

Ingredients
Grated coconut – 1 cup (half of medium size coconut)
Roasted gram – 3 tbl spoon
Shallots – 2
Cashews
Garlic cloves – 2
Green chilli – 3
Small piece of ginger
Salt
Oil – 1 tbl spoon
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Urad dal – 1 teaspoon
Dry chilli – 1
Curry leaves

  1. This looks really good, yum, yum! I can’t wait to make it. I made your chicken curry, one of them, and it turned out so well. I added heavy cream to the sauce, and even better, ha ha!

    I used to put dahi in my chutneys, Kerala style but this is more authentically Tamil and just like the Prema Villas dosa chutney I used to have back in Calcutta decades ago. I loved that chutney!

    I’ve never mastered making a dosa. What is the key?
    Tawa very hot or medium not?
    No oil on tawa until dosa was poured?
