Green Garlic Pakoda | हरे लहसुन का पकोड़ा | Winter Recipes | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Fresh, tender green garlic stalks and spring onions make pakodas rejuvenating. Coriander lends its unique flavour too.

GREEN GARLIC PAKODA

Active ingredients

1/2 cup chopped green garlic stalks
1 tbsp sliced green garlic bulbs
1/2 cup chopped spring onion greens
1/4 cup chopped spring onion bulbs
2 tablespoons sliced fresh coriander leaves
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp carom seeds
1/4 cup rice flour
1 cup gram flour
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Green chutney to serve
Tomato ketchup to serve

Method

1. Integrate spring onion greens, spring onion bulbs, green garlic stalks, green garlic bulbs, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, carom seeds, rice flour, gram flour and salt in a bowl. Include 3/4 cup water and blend well.
2. Heat adequate oil in a kadai. Add 2 tablespoons of the hot oil in the ready mix and blend well.
3. Carefully slide in small portions of the mix and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
4. Serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
