Golden Fried Rice | The Wok Street | Chef Ankit | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Guess where the brilliant golden colour comes from? Egg yolks, and prawns, spring onions complete this Asian Dish.



4 eggs
3 cups cooked short grain rice
2 tbsps oil
2 tablespoons carefully chopped garlic
20-25 medium prawns, peeled, cleaned up, and deveined
1 tablespoon cooking wine
3-4 asparagus stalks, diagonally sliced
White pepper powder to taste
Salt to taste
3-4 asparagus, peeled and cut
2-3 tbsps diagonally sliced spring onion greens


1. Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Transfer the yolks into the rice and blend well.
2. Heat oil in a wok, include garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
3. Add prawns and sauté on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add cooking red wine and blend well.
4. Include asparagus stalks and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
5. Include the asparagus and mix well. Add the rice and toss till well integrated. Include the spring onion greens and mix well.
6. Transfer into a serving plate. Serve hot.
