    1. It’s like drug addiction where the recidivism rate of going back to old habits is really high

    2. @@Mooonchild711 According to a random online tabloid, 30 are still around, and they list them by name. 10 a season, 3 seasons, ez.

  1. Can you tag the video with timelines so we can skip between the good bits more easily? 🙂

  2. I think people need to also understand that some of these places did change their ways and improve their restaurant. The problem is that they were eventually constrained by factors they couldn’t control.

While ramsay helps them improve their restaurant to a good state, the activity these restaurants get when Ramsay’s around vs when he isn’t is drastic. This paired with the fact that when they call ramsay they’re already under serious financial pressure, and an already long lasting poor reputation, and most of these restaurants shut down anyway.

The ones that have stayed open are simply just lucky, since they somehow manage to navigate through both their reputation and their finances. But this luck is relatively rare.

    1. Yep many have been accruing more debt per month for decades (plus interest) than is possible to make per month in profit after turning around, so no matter what they can’t survive after that as the owners and sometimes stakeholders who care won’t even be alive by the end of that idealised timeline.

    2. I remember seeing some owners who had that. Didn’t fault Gordon but they knew that external issues got to them.

    3. There is a show about the deaths associated with KN. Billy from Handlebar succumbed to cancer. They did have some success

    4. The only actual fix is going to be good marketing after all the changes ramsay gives is remained in place

  3. I think what’s more impressive with Gordon than how improves the restaurant, is the way he can actually make someone a better person. He’s great at breaking people down and building them back up again. What a top bloke 👍

  4. Some places goes under bcs:
    1. Bad owner/management
    2. They arent clicked to each others
    3. They afraid of change
    4. They have piling debts anyway
    5. The owner didnt have clear goal and have great palate to begin with to open any restaurant.

Many has one or combined of all of those points. Not every restaurant can be saved even by Gordon Ramsay.

  5. What I like about Gordon Ramsay is that when food is terrible he tell you the truth and when food is good he says “delicious “😋😁🌟🔥

  6. A lot of people are under the impression that the restaurant business is glamorous, when in reality it’s anything but. A lot (if not most) of the proprietors in the failing restaurants that Gordon visited had absolutely no prior experience in food service. They just wanted to “live the dream.”

  7. He tried and many pretended to listen. Unfortunately, they thought they knew better than chef Ramsay 👍

  8. What type of man’s absence from his own restaurants cause him to lose Michelin stars to help people ? Now that’s something special right there.
