BREAKFAST STRAWBERRY COOKIES

Components

3/4 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1 1/2 cups refined flour (maida).
1/2 cup oats powder.
1/2 tsp baking powder.
1/2 tsp baking soda.
1 cup brown sugar.
1/4 cup castor sugar.
1 1/2 cups butter.
1 egg.
1 tsp vanilla essence.
1/4 cup milk.
1/4 cup oats.
1/4 cup sliced milk chocolate.
Halved almonds as required.
Black coffee for serving.

Technique.

1. Preheat the oven at 180ºC.
2. Sort together improved flour, oats powder, baking powder and baking soda in a big bowl.
3. In another bowl take brown sugar, castor sugar and butter, and beat the mix with electrical beater till sugar dissolves and it becomes light and fluffy.
4. Include the egg and blend well, add vanilla essence and milk, and blend well.
5. Add the flour mix, oats and milk chocolate and mix till well combined.
6. Include strawberries and blend carefully.
7. Line a baking tray with a parchment paper. Divide the mixture into equivalent portions and flatten and set up on the baking tray.
8. Press halved almonds on top and bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
9. Allow to cool and serve with black coffee.
