Urad dal – 1½ teaspoon
Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Oil – 5 tbl spoon
Dry chilli – 10
Shallots 20 to 25
Garlic cloves – 10
Tomato – 2
Small piece of tamarind
Curry leaves
Salt
