  4. it’s always best to grill a thick cut of steak, at least 1″-1.5″. Use a instant-read thermometer or If you must, use a knife to view the “doneness”. Unfortunately, cooking a steak (like this sirloin) to medium will often toughen the meat unless you choose a Rib or Rib Eye steak that contains more fat. -BBQ Pit Boys

  7. Okay guys, now as always that looks danged good. The only thing I would change is to add some Seasoned Butter. (Butter, Garlic, Salt, Pepper and Oregano) Put this on the steak as you remove it from the grill and let it melt over the meat as it rests. You won’t regret it.

  10. Love steak, I’ve always wondered about the oiling. My sister says that what she thinks is best is to put some oil on a plate large enough for the stake. Then just flip it in the oil few times. I think the idea is to only use enough. I guess you could add seasoning to the oil as well. I used to add the oil to the pan. Then again there is the fat from the meat. I’m no way am I telling someone how to suck an egg but I’ve tried it and it works.
