Yam Curry Recipe/ Senai Kizhangu Gravy/ Elephant Yam Curry

Ingredients
Chopped yam (Senai kilangu) – 250 grams
Tamarind juice of amla size
Turmeric powder
Chopped coconut – 4 tbl spoon
Pepper – ½ teaspoon
Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon
Fennel seeds – ½ teaspoon
Poppy seeds (kasakasa) – 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon stick
Cloves – 3
Oil – 2 tbl spoon
Fennel seeds – ½ teaspoon
Onion – 1
Curry leaves
Paste of 2 tomatoes
Ginger garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder
Salt
