@DKF_oli I think this is the sole reason all those narcissists came out of the woodwork to apply for the show, so that worked like a charm. And I keep thinking there’s no real downside for the network as it’s comparatively cheap for them, and you even make the restaurant a bit more appealing for the inevitable next owner, ultimately saving it in that sense
@DKF_oliYep, worst of all is the fools watching the show and seeing what happened, and blaming Gordon for their closure. The in and around ’08 global crash episodes are on thing. But Gordon always leaves the restaurants foundations to maintain if not build upon at least. Most go back to their old ways within months if not weeks. And blame everyone but themselves 😂
@melanie_kay_6014 I mean I just saw a documentary, diners are failing as a whole. Not that specific diner, it’s because of multiple factors: cultural, economic, and convenience. Diners back then were super convenient because they were open 24/7 for the most part, but with the introduction of fast food restaurants, diners tanked.
So glad they started doing this again!

Gordon I just want to thank you for getting me through my days. I swear… why is watching Gordon my go to? Masterchef, Hell’s Kitchen, Hotel Hell, Next Level, Kitchen Nightmares, Secret Service… I’m hooked.

I havn’t watched one of these GR compilations in several months, so glad they posted a new one to throw up to!
One thing I’m guaranteed NOT to find in a diner is a good cup of coffee.
It’s always so painful to watch when proper servers/waiters have to stand between Gordon’s critique and the kitchen’s incompetence. I so appreciate that Gordon understands that and never shoots the messenger, even when pompous chefs do their gimmicks like that shtty one with the business card.
He always treats his waiting staff well b’cos he knows what they go thru!!
