SHEPU MOONG DAL BHAJI.

Active ingredients.

1 medium bunch of dill leaves (shepu).
1/2 cup split skinless green gram (dhuli moong dal).
3 green chillies, stemmed.
8-10 garlic cloves.
2-3 tbsps oil.
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing).
1 tsp cumin seeds.
1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
Chapatis for serving.

Approach.

1. Different the leaves and chop approximately.
2. Transfer moong dal in a bowl. Include water and wash thoroughly. Include adequate water and soak for 40-50 minutes.
3. Slice green chillies and garlic.
4. Heat oil in a nonstick kadai. Add asafoetida and cumin seeds and as soon as the cumin seeds start to alter the colour, include garlic and sauté till golden brown.
5. Add green chillies and sauté for a minute.
6. Add soaked dal, turmeric powder and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
7. Include 3/4 cup water, salt and blend well.
8. Lower the heat, cover and cook for 5-6 minutes.
9. Add chopped dill leaves and mix well. Cover and prepare for 4-5 minutes on medium heat.
10. Serve hot with chapatis.
