Gordon takes a trip to Ventura Harbor in Southern California to assist a family-run Greek restaurant dealing with huge problems that hasn't taken a profit for two years. Makis Mikelatos and his partner Lynn have run the restaurant, the Greek at the Harbor, for 17 years, however Makis – who works 17 hours a day, 7 days a week, and rarely takes a holiday – is exhausted, and if he does not decrease he remains in danger of collapse.

The fact that as a parent you stay this pissed at your kid is crazy.
I have 2 kids, and they say really stupid things. that sometimes really hurts. I take them apart and i tell them what i think. And that they should show respect.
Shut up, listen en show respect. After that, it’s done. Lesson learned and we move on.
This to me to stay this mad at your kid is pathetic. Ego and ego alone.

Parents should force their dreams to be their children’s dreams
Don’t have kids if you cannot provide for their entire journey until they can spread their wings and provide for themselves. And don’t expect them to try and owe their own life for it. YOU decided to have a kid so you are agreeing to be a “sponsor” for them until they can provide for themselves. You aren’t owed any THANKS
Having kids is a BLESSING if u cannot afford it mentally, physically and financially that is on you and you are at fault and lowkey an abuser
That’s kinda bullshit how Gordon came at the son, he wasn’t there, he doesn’t know the context of the situation, and it’s in the past anyway how can the dad hold onto a comment like that for years and be bitter like that he’s the problem
I don’t like how they blamed their son and held it against him that he didn’t initially want to be a part of the restaurant. He’s allowed to do whatever it is he pleases with his life. It reminds me of parents that force their kids into sports and extracurriculars in a way to live vicariously through them. I hope he knows deep down that its completely valid that he didn’t always want to be there and that the parents realize that what matters is that he’s there now and is committed.
Also that he was young and immature not knowing what hard work went into it but it is good that he apologises nevertheless
It was because of how he said it though.
The son holding the line, he was unreal. First day doing it and held the pressure in a massive change in the entire kitchens work process. Nothing more empowering than a son proving his worth.
I personally want to see Gordon Ramsay react to Nikocado Avocado’s food eating videos and maybe his food fights with Orlin

I am so happy for this family and their strong efforts to come together and make their lives better. Not a lot of families are strong enough to do this! The people posting negative comments are wrong. This is one of my favorite episodes.
Chef Ramsay to the rescue once again. I love this guy. He restores families and businesses for those who will but listen and learn. That’s Awesome! Watching this from the Gulf Coast of Alabama.
