Nonstick cooking spray, for the pan.
12 big eggs.

Directions.

Special equipment: a 6- or 8-quart Immediate Pot ® multi-cooker.

Gently spray a 7-inch cake pan with nonstick cooking spray. Crack the eggs into the pan.

Add 1 1/2 cups water to a 6-quart Immediate Pot ® and add the rack. Transfer the pan of eggs to the rack and follow the producer's guide for locking the lid and preparing to . Set to push on high for 9 minutes.

After the pressure-cook cycle is complete, follow the manufacturer's guide for quick release and wait up until the quick-release cycle is complete. Bewaring of any remaining steam, unlock and remove the cover.

Remove the pan and let the eggs cool to space temperature level. Invert onto a cutting board and slice the eggs. Perfect for egg salad or to add to potato or tuna salad.

  1. I like eggs, I can see how useful this method would be for making egg salad, but still there is something disturbing about the term “egg loaf” 🥚

  2. I did this last weekend. I set it for 2 minutes (6 eggs), and they were borderline overcooked. Not sure about NINE minutes.

    1. @LUVR NU I cooked my eggs before this was posted, so I admit that I didn’t follow their instructions 100%, but 1.25 vs 1.5 cups of water doesn’t change the fact that 9 minutes is a really long time to cook eggs out of the shell at pressure. Once it’s at pressure, a few ounces of water won’t make that much of a difference.

  3. What is this recent problem with peeling an egg?
    I often boil several and keep them in the shell until I use them. Freshness prolonged.
    (And y’all youngsters need to buy a real potatoes masher)

  4. Now that’s completely perfect for cracking eggs and then hard boiled! That’s completely perfect for salad and then some! 🥚 🥗
