  4. Nicole, my mother (who was from Alabama) used to make fried corn from fresh corn on the cob. I call it fried as she always prepared it in a cast iron skillet. It wasn’t cream style corn. All I can remember was fresh corn cut off the cob and butter. I have never been able to duplicate that taste. Can you help?

    1. My grandparents did the exact same thing. The key is frying the corn until it starts to caramelize. We add salt and pepper in addition to the butter… so simple, but so good!
