  2. What is a grit is it like porridge, I’m from Ireland 🇮🇪

    1. Grits are made from white corn they’re basically the same thing as polenta except polenta is made from yellow corn. Hope that helps.
      It was very popular in southern United States cooking as it was very cheap years ago. And now is a southern classic cuisine.

    3. @Bernadette Hynes – Cafferkey It’s not exactly the same but it will be close and still delicious. I’ve made both versions and I’d say I kinda like the yellow version a little better. It has more flavor.

    1. I’ve always made them on the stove top but was wondering if it’s possible to make them in a pressure cooker. It seems like the texture would be off, probably too mushy.
