“hopefully I won’t be spotted” – cameras all over the gaff, in the dining areas, in the kitchen, even the bathroom … and nobody notices? yeah right lol
The camera setup was done a month in advance, told they were going to be part of a “makeover”-type show and were there to get some generic footage of “before”, as well as needing to see how the traffic is to best plan out the makeover. By the time he shows up and they realize it’s not what they expected, the cameras are there but they’ve gotten used to them.

I love this show and I love Ramsay because he does a fair rating, by being honest, instead of being like the educational system where every child passes even though they didn’t learn anything. Or because he doesn’t care about not hurting someone’s feelings to prevent people from paying for crappy service and food. 😍💐👑🤩🥰💃🏿🤗💙
I agree. The older I get the more I think I didn’t do that amazing in school, they just make it as easy as possible for kids to do well (in that they really hammered the information home, and were flexible). And yet it’s hard for kids to retain that knowledge because they don’t use most of it in everyday life. But in a restaurant it’s really important to do your job well, and a good manager will give constructive criticism and proper training, and will know if they need to fire someone.
@sarahberkner I understand nobody is perfect, but practice makes almost perfect. Training should be something that is done consistently, not occasionally. It’s the only way to at least try to make your team better.
A brilliant scheme to get a honest sample of service! The signed up Restaurants expect a plain clothes Ramsey entry, but classic bait and switch! He turns up in disguise hidden in a loudly dressed group. I laughed my arse off!
I’ve been watching Hell’s kitchen….seasons 1-12 and I’m in another room and can hear him yelling at them left and right. Poor guy…that can’t be easy on the old heart!
